StayNear National Parks helps you plan an active trip to a US national park — including the parts nobody warns you about: permit deadlines and lotteries, what to do with your dog, which trails actually work with kids, and where the nearest 24/7 vet or urgent care is.
Who writes it
My name is Serhii Andriievskyi. I have visited more than 40 US national parks since 2012, and this site is where what I learned doing it gets written down and checked. You can find me on LinkedIn.
Where the data comes from
Park facts, alerts and events come from official sources — the National Park Service (NPS) API and NOAA weather services — synced into our own database and reviewed by hand. Trail details and nearby services for featured parks are curated manually. Live readings carry the time they were measured, and curated month-by-month data carries the date it was last reviewed.
How the site is funded
Some outbound links are affiliate links — if you book or buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Details are in our affiliate disclosure. Editorial content is never sold: partners don't influence ratings, trail picks or safety notes.
